Boulder County Commissioners to host town hall focused on oil, gas operations

The Boulder County Commissioners will hold a town hall in Lafayette on Monday to discuss oil and gas operations and regulations in the county.

Residents can learn about the status of oil and gas operations at Boulder County’s Southeast Community Hub, 1755 S. Public Road.

Members of the Commissioners’ Office, County Attorney’s Office, Community Planning & Permitting, and Public Health departments will present updates on the operations and attendees can ask questions to staff. The town hall will review current wells, safety inspections for the wells, legislation, efforts to reduce negative impacts from oil and gas operations and more.

Registration for the event is available at, although registration is not required. Spanish interpretation is available.
